Welcome
It is my joy and honor to share with you what I have learned over my 38 year career as a reading specialist and literacy coach.
I've spent my teaching career inspiring students of all ages to fall in love with reading and to lead literate lives. Turning nonreaders into voracious readers, increasing reading stamina to those students already hooked on reading, and recommending great book titles is what I do best.
This site celebrates the opportunity to share my passion of books and is dedicated to teachers and families so they can put the best books and reading resources in the hands of students of all ages.
For 2023, I've added an Adult Reader section, making the Barbara the Bookworm the go-to site for readers of all ages and stages.
