THE BOOKWORM

Reading aloud to children every day promotes language and basic speaking skills. It increases their vocabulary and encourages them to read on their own. Children who are read to at an early age develop the literacy skills needed for academic literacy. Daily reading aloud encourages children to become life-long readers and supports children as they create their own reading life.

Teachers: Whether you are using Jennifer Seravallo's Reading Strategies, the Units of Study in Reading from TCRWP, Fountas and Pinnell's LLI or Mini-Lessons in FPC, or something similar, this list of new titles will support your work either virtually or in the classroom.
